Being able to email offers to an email list is one of the keys to becoming successful as an affiliate marketer. The more responsive your list is the more money you will learn.

4. Sell big ticket items. Selling big-ticket items does require more skills, but once you know how to do it you can make more money on every sale. Why sell $20 ebooks when you can earn thousand dollar commissions selling big ticket items.

5. Think residual income at least some of the time. Residual income is a concept that has been around in network marketing, insurance sales, and so on.

Hard Disk Failure Factors

Every one who works with computers whether it is a business or just for private use knows that the information they accumulate on their computers is stored on their hard disk drive. The data stored daily, hourly or every second is at its most current therefore if it does fail and you don’t have a current backup of that data it can be a very big problem. While it is perhaps a great annoyance for a private computer user it is a much bigger problem when this is a business computer.

There are many types of failures for hard drives and the information stored within them and we cover some of these specific failure types here.

Why does a hard disk drive fail?

A lot of these failures relate to how the data itself is stored. The data itself is stored on a circular platter which spins from between 5400 rpm to 15,000 rpm. There is a read/write head mounted on an arm that is positioned across the platter so as to access the data. This head "floats" very closely at the surface by dint of an aerodynamic effect. When you add to this any movement and the potential for heat generation there are many things that can very suddenly go wrong.

What is Media Failure?

A hard disk drive will "hide" instances of media failure so as to maintain a perfectly readable disk, and prevent operating system troubles as the result of unreadable sectors. How this is achieved is by maintaining a set of spare sectors, therefore when a failure does transpire this data is relocated to one of these spare sectors. There is however a point in time when these spare sectors can be all used and the errors will then start. Often when this point is reached the disk itself is in very bad condition and close to the point of imminent failure. At this point, if the disk is continued to run in this state the problems then will rapidly increase.

What is a Head Crash?

This term relates to when the head itself touches the surface of the platter whilst it is spinning. This can occur as the result of an impact or perhaps a mechanical failure within the HDA. HDA stands for Head Disk Assembly and is comprised of the head/platter combination. In the worst cases this contact can strip away the whole recorded surface of the platter leaving only the base material which is typically glass.

What is Bearing Seizure?

The rotation of the platter must be nice and smooth. When there is any unusual or unexpected vibration this can cause positional problems. If there is any impact, or after prolonged use these bearings that permit the platter to rotate can crumble and seize. When this occurs the drive itself can not spin the platter and therefore no data can be read.

What is Electronic Failure?

Hard drives are controlled by circuitry. This circuitry is vulnerable to damage from electrostatic discharge or electrical surges. If a component is near to the point of failure then often a relatively minor electrical "blip" will tip the scales between continued operation and electrical failure. The difficulty with a hard drive is that it has information and code stored within the memory devices on the drive controller. This is created when the drive is first formatted therefore just replacing the electronics will not solve the problem.

What are Data Failures?

In some cases the problem is not actually with the disk itself but more with the system or the person using the system that is creating the problem. When there is a disappearance of files or a partition of files this could be a user error or an application error and the disk itself may in fact be working perfectly. A data recovery specialist can assist in this diagnosis.

What to do in any of these instances:

Hard disk data recovery is a job for the experts. The term itself is related to a variety of techniques to retrieve the data from a failed device and locating a suitable way to retrieve the data in a usable format. The most important thing to be aware of is that there is no 100% guarantee that your information will be retrievable and there are a variety of factors, as listed above that may in fact be the cause of your data loss. A data recovery expert will do their best to locate and retrieve your data however it is possible that your data may well in fact be gone.

Negativity On My Blog

A few weeks ago I had someone post a comment on my blog that was a little less than flattering. This was posted by ‘Fellow REALTOR®’ (he didn’t use the proper trademark but due to recent events I’ll add it for him/her here) and his/her email address was ipfreely@remax.com.

“wow, you are one angry REALTOR, wonder if your clients feed on your negative energy and negative energy......do you have any positive comments about anything?.....seems to me like you need to relax a bit or chose another career path.....”

My first reaction was a desire to slam his/her post. I wanted to get into the spelling, the grammar, the lack of a trademark symbol.....I had this thing diced up quickly in my mind. How dare he/she make these comments after having read a blog post that discussed the use of air fresheners in seller’s homes. He/she can come to that conclusion about me having read something like that? This was a lousy post, and I was defensive. Instead, here is how I replied:

“Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and post a comment ipfreely. I really appreciate you reading this blog post.

I'll take the high road here with my response - if for no other reason than to help with my argument that I'm the furthest thing from an "angry REALTOR®".

Thanks for stopping by.”

I responded this way because I came to a realization fairly quickly.....the realization that if I am going to put myself ‘out there’, I have to be okay with a less than flattering response. If I’m not okay with this, then I should probably keep my strong opinions to myself. My blog is not an instructional blog....it is not an inspirational blog....it is a blog that offers advice, rants, raves, and opinions. I’m not saying I have to be okay with personal attacks on my blog, but critical comments and people taking issue with my viewpoints come with the territory.

This isn’t new. Anyone that has been maintaining a blog has come to this realization at one time or another, and thousands out there have known this for a very long time. This was just my time to realize this.

Somebody asked me why I didn’t just delete the post. That is not me. It would take something pretty extreme to be posted before I would pull the post. I’m throwing out my opinions and comments, and I’m okay with hearing a negative response to those opinions and comments.

So feel free to leave a comment....tell me I don’t know what I am talking about....let me know that you completely disagree with my viewpoint.

I can take it.

.....and for the record? I LOVE my job, and I strive to be a positive and upbeat person both personally and professionally.

Hasil riset radiasi monitor terutama komputer juga memberikan gambaran bahwa:radiasi monitor komputer secara diagonal terjadi bocoran radiasi yang jauh lebih besar jika kita berhadapan secara langsung. ( mis: kalau kita berhadapan langsung, besarnya radiasi x ; maka dengan monitor yang sama kalau kita di posisi diagonalnya, besarnya radiasi x+y)

Tentang Brightness dan Contrast pada monitor Pekerjaan yang berkaitan dengan keakuratan warna (misalnya design), tentunya sangat tergantung pada brightness dan contrast monitor; dari hasil riset makin tinggi set brightness dan contrast, maka makin tinggi radiasinya. Ssetiap mata orang memiliki daya tahan yang berbeda; pedih, keluar air mata, iritasi, dll, yang merupakan akibat dari hal tersebut diatas...

Apabila hal ini terus menerus dialami dalam jangka waktu yang cukup lama, maka salah satu akibatnya adalah: menderita Asthenopia (pupil mata jadi lambat bereaksi thd cahaya, karena intensitas cahaya (radiasi komputer, brightness contrast, cahaya matahari, dll yang berlebihan)

Dari beberapa gambaran diatas memang sangat mengerikan, tapi memang begitulah kenyataannya. Hal ini sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan tubuh terutama mata. Karena kita bekerja, mencari nafkah; dengan memanfaatkan komputer, hal ini menjadi semacam dilema.

Anjuran terbaik :

Setelah mengetahui dampak dari hal tersebut diatas, tentu kita dapat memutuskan hal yang terbaik untuk diri kita.

Anjuran alternatif :

1. Bila bekerja dengan komputer, setiap +- 30 s/d 50 menit, istirahatkan mata selama 5 menit, lihat tanaman yang berwarna hijau, lihat objek dengan jarak pandang yang berubah mulai dari yang terdekat sampai terjauh (lihat ke awan). Di perusahaan yang berkaitan dengan komputer di LN, malah setiap 50 menit seluruh layar komputer di set auto shut down, untuk mengistirahatkan mata seluruh karyawan sejenak selama 5 menit.

2. Gunakan Filter monitor : karena filter monitor terbukti mengurangi efek radiasi secara elektromagnetik.

3. Mata perlu dirawat secara teratur, dijaga, serta dilindungi dengan cara:

a. Di kompress dengan air hangat,boorwater,dengan mentimun (baik untuk mata dan kulit)

b. Mata di bersihkan dengan obat tetes mata atau boorwater.

c. Makan vit A / wortel/ banyak makan sayuran segar berwarna hijau/orange

d. Tidur/ istirahat teratur selama 8 jam.

Misalkan Anda ingin mencari info seputar mobil klasik keluaran Mercedes-Benz. Jika Anda mengetikkan “Clasic Mercedes-Benz”. Hindari kata “clasic car” apalagi hanya mengetik kata “car”. Jika model mobil yang Anda cari hanyalah jenis “Mercedes-Benz 300SL” maka cukup ketikkan frase tersebut (tAnda petik turut disertakan) pada mesin pencari.

Menggunakan TAnda + dan –

Persempit pencarian dengan menanfaatkan dua tAnda ini.misalnya Anda ingin mencari tips bagaimana menghapus paksa beberapa komponen Windows. Maka ketikkan “+”Windows XP”+hint+tips-uninstall-sex-girl-“make money”” pada mesin pencari. Perhatika susunan kata dari kiri ke kanan (hirarki yang semakin sempit). Tenda-bertujuan untuk membuang situs yang sama sekali tidak ada hubungannya dengan info yang sedang dicari. TAnda + dan – identik penggunaannya dengan operator boolean AND dan NOT.

Kombinasi Operator Bloolean AND, OR dan NOT

Contoh: “women AND cancer OR “breas cancer”NOT sex”. Kata kunci itu berarti mesin pencari akan mencari situs yang berhubungan dengan wanita dan penyakit kanker payudara dan bukan situs-situs porno.

Gunakan Ejaan Yang Benar

Kalau Anda ragu ejaan suatu kata dalam bahasa asing untuk diketikkan pada mesin pencari, ada baiknya untuk memeriksa ejaannya dulu. Anda bisa menggunakan Ask Jeeves (www.askjeeves.com) atau google.com. Google akan segera menampilkan ejaan kata alternatif dan kata-kata yang paling umum digunakan untuk Anda pilih, sedangkan Ask Jeeves akan mengecek apakah ejaan yang Anda masukkan sudah benar.

Milis

Milis adalah forum diskusi tempat bertukar informasi dapat dijadikan alternatif pencarian. Biasanya, forum diskusi ini terbagi dalam banyak kategori, jadi pilih saja sesuai dengan kebutuhan Anda. Menjaga Data dari Bencana

Kehilangan data bisa menyebabkan bencana besar bagi pekerjaan. Karenanya, membuat backup secara rutin menjadi sesuatu yang wajib dilakukan. Windows menyediakan tool yang dapat memudahkan Anda melakukannya.
1.Buka winzard dengan mengklik Star, lalu arahkan ke Program > Accessories > System Tools > Backup or restore Winzard akan dibuka.

2.Klik advanced Mode yang ada di halaman depan Backup or Restore Winzzard.

3.Klik tab Backup. Centang folder atau file yang hendak di backup di bagian Clik to select the check box any drive, folder, or file that you want to back up.
4.Dibagian backup detination, biasanya file sudah disorot secara default; ini membuat backup file atau folder tadi dalam bentuk file. Bila ingin membackupnya di tempat lain, pilih tape device yang anda inginkan.

5.Jika tadi Anda membackup file dan folder menjadi file, dibagian backup media or file atau klik browse, dan pilih lokasinya.
6.Anda dapat menemukan opsi tambahan untuk backup, seperti tipe backup atau tipe file log, dengan membuka menu Tools, dan memilih option. Setelah selesai, klik OK.

7.Klik start backup. Bila diperlukan, Anda bisa membuat perubahan pada kotak dialog Backup job information. Atau jika Anda ingin membuat opsi lebih lanjut, seperti verifikasi data atau kompresi hardware, klik advanced.

Yang anda perlukan adalah server “pemancar”; disini kami memanfaatkan HOUTcast (www.shoutcast.com). Anda juga perlu menyiapkan penyedia konten audio; ini bisa berupa PC yang difungsikan sebagai server, plus koneksi internat yang memadahi. Atau menyewa ruang di Wab hosting. Juga aplikasi yang menjadi “jembatan” untuk menyiarkan audio; kami menggunakan Winamp (www.winamp.com) sebagai player dan plug-in yang direkomendasikan SHOUTcast.
1.Download Winamp dari www.winamp.com
Aplikasi ini juga bertugas sebagai pengatur audio yang hendak disiarkan, baik rekaman maupun siaran langsung.
Juga download SHOUTcast Source for winamp plug-in dari www. Shoutcast.com; download plug-in sesuai sistem operasi yang digunakan PC atau server anda. Plug-in diperlukan untuk mengirim audio dari Winamp di PC, atau server anda ke server SHOUTcast.
2.Install Winamp
Kemudian install plug-in tadi.
Catatan: pastikan Winamp tidak sedang aktif ketika anda menginstal plug-in.
3.Sekarang aktifkan Winamp. Buka preferences (Ctrl + P), dan klik DSP/effects dibawah kategori Plug-in. Jika anda melihat “Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.0” dipanel kanan, berarti anda sudah berhasil menginstall SHOUTcast Broadcast DSP plug-in.
4.Berikutnya, klik Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.0(dsp_s.dll) yang terlihat di panel tadi. Akan muncul jendela bernama SHOUcast source.
5.Klik tab input dan pastikan anda sudah memlih input Device yang sesuai (biasanya Winamp).

7. Untuk mengubah jenis dan ukuran font pada halaman kalender, seleksilah font yang akan dirubah.
8. Kemudian, pada Toolbar pilihlah jenis dan ukuran font yang anda hendaki.
9. Lakukanlah langkah yang sama untuk mengubah font lainnya dalam halaman kalender tersebut.
10. Selanjutnya, untuk mengganti image pada halaman kalender tersebut, klik terlebih dahulu image yang akan diganti.
11. Kemudian klik pada ikon Picture pada panel Picture yang muncul.
12. Pilih image yang akan dimasukkan ke dalam kalender.
13. Klik tombbol Insert
14. Untuk mengganti image pada halaman lainnya, sama dengan langkah sebelumnya.
15. Jika sudah, bukalah halaman selanjutnya untuk membuat kalender berikutnya.

16. Pada halaman kalender berikutnya ini anda akan mendapati tampilan warna yang sama dengan tampilan kalender dihalaman pertama. Namun, anda dapat membuat variasi tampilan kalender pada halaman ini dengan mengganti image, jenis font, sehingga masing-masing halaman memilliki tampilan yang berbeda.
17. Untuk halaman kalender selanjutnya, anda bisa membuat variasi tampilan yang berbeda dengan menambahkan pattern untuk latar belakang kalender. caranya, klik terlebih dahulu kotak latar belakang kalender.
18. Klik kanan dan pilih opsi format AutoShap

- Pilihlah warna untuk pattern pada kotak kombo Foreground
- Kemudian pilih warna latar belakang pattern

21. Kemudian kke kotak dialog Format AutoShape, Klik tombol OK
22. Untuk variasi halaman kalender berikutnya, anda bisa menambahkan image sebagai latar belakang. Caranya klik pada kotak latar belakang kalender.
23. Kklik kanan dan pilih Format AutoShape
24. Berikutnya, pilihlah opsi Fill Effect pada kotak dialog Format AutoShape.
25. Setelah itu, buka tab Picture dan klik tombol Select Picture.
26. Pilih salah satu image yang hendak dijadikan latar belakang. Jika sudah, klik tombol Insert.

How to Backup Windows XP Home Edition

Your computer cost you from hundreds to thousands of dollars, but the computer itself is not the most valuable part. The data on the hard disk is the most valuable part. How many hours of work did you put into creating that data? One little event, like a power line spike from a lightning strike, and all that work could be lost. Unfortunately, backing up with Windows XP Home Edition is not as simple as it should be.

The first step is to choose a backup device. You might choose a tape drive or a DVD drive, but those devices might require drivers to be installed before you could restore from them. The simplest option is to install a second hard drive in your computer.

The second hard drive doesn't have to be equal to your main hard drive. You can use an older, smaller hard drive as the backup device, as long as the backup drive has more "Free Space" than the main hard drive has "Used Space".

Install a Second Hard Drive

When installing a second hard drive in your computer, it's important to configure the drives correctly. Your motherboard should have two ATA (sometimes called IDE) connectors. The primary connector should have a cable with two drive connectors. The end connector should go to your main hard drive, the middle connector can be used for a backup hard drive. The second motherboard ATA connector should go to your CD-ROM.

On the back of each hard drive is a jumper. The jumper on your main hard drive should be set to the "Master" position. The jumper on your backup hard drive should be set to "Slave" position. Most modern computers use "Cable Select", so you can set both jumpers to the "Cable Select" position. Don't forget the power connector for the second drive.

When you restart your computer, the second drive should be automatically recognized and be designated with the next drive letter available, usually E: (D: being used for the CD-ROM drive).

Format the Second Hard Drive

Generally, you will want to re-format the second hard drive after installation to remove any previously installed operating system and to remove any previous file access rights. To format the drive, select Start | Settings | Control Panel | Administration Tools | Computer Management. In the "Computer Management" window, under "Storage", click on "Disk Management".

Right click on the backup disk's drive letter. In the popup menu, select All Tasks | Format... In the Warning dialog box that appears, click on the "Yes" button. In the "Format" dialog box, in the "File system" drop-down list, select NTFS. Click on the "OK" button. Again, in the Warning dialog box that appears, click on the "Yes" button.

Install the Backup Utility

Windows XP Home Edition doesn't install the Backup utility by default. You'll need to install it manually from your Windows XP CD-ROM.

1. After inserting the CD-ROM, open Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs" utility. In the "Add or Remove Programs" utility", click on the "Add New Programs" button, then click on the "CD or Floppy" button.

2. In the "Run Installation Program" dialog box that appears, navigate to the VALUEAD/MSFT/NTBACKUP folder on the CD-ROM and select the file NTBACKUP.MSI. Click on the "Finish" button. The Backup utility will be installed.

Perform a Full Backup

To perform a backup, select Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Backup to open the Backup Utility.

Note: If you don't find Backup listed in System Tools, double click on the file name ntbackup.exe in the Windows\system32 folder.

In the "Backup or Restore Wizard", click on the "Advanced Mode" link. In the "Backup Utility" dialog box, select the "Backup" tab and set the checkbox next to the drive to backup (c:) and set the checkbox next to "System State".

In the "Backup media or file name" text box, enter the path to the file for the backup (example E:\Backup.bkf). Click on the "Start Backup" button.

In the "Backup Job Information" dialog box that appears, set the radio button next to "Replace the data on the media with this backup". Click on the "Start Backup" button. The "backup Progress" dialog box will appear.

Even when you backup to relatively fast media like hard disk, the process can take 30 minutes or longer depending upon how much data is on the main drive.

When the backup is complete, turn off the computer and remove the data and power cables from the backup drive. It doesn't make sense to leave the backup drive connected because if the cause of a failure is a power spike, it will take out both drives. Next time you want to backup you'll need to reinstall the cables.

How to Perform a Restore

In the unfortunate event that your computer crashes and you can't get it back by any other means, you'll need to reinstall Windows XP from the CD-ROM. (Automated System Recovery is not supported in Windows XP Home Edition.) You'll need to re-install the Backup utility. Then you'll need to shut down the computer to install the data and power cables to the backup drive. Restart the computer and use the Backup Utility to restore Windows XP from the backup file.

When using this backup method, it's important to be careful not to break any pins when you are removing and installing the data cable of the hard drive. And if your computer doesn't use "cable Select", don't forget to change the jumper on the main hard drive back to "Single".

Whether it's the word processor, spreadsheet, or financial package that isn't working, most people do not know that Microsoft Windows XP has a built in feature that just may come and save the day. That feature is called "System Restore."

Basically, System Restore is like a little hound that runs behind the scenes taking "snapshots" of various parts of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. So, if a part of Microsoft Windows XP stops working one day, the System Restore utility is able to reference one of the "snapshots" it took and restore your system from a previous day (a day when your computer worked). It's kind of like going back in time to a day when your computer worked. All your current data (Microsoft Word files, etc.) are still retained, so you don't have to worry about losing any present day files.

In order to restore your computer just follow these simple steps:

1. Close any open programs.

2. Click on the Windows "Start" button (normally located on the bottom of your computer desktop)

3. Click on "All Programs"

4. Click on "Accessories"

5. Click on "System Tools"

6. Then click on "System Restore"

7. At this point the System Restore wizard will launch. You will have two options:

a. "Restore my system from an earlier date"
b. "Create a system restore point"

If you just need to restore your system and get it working correctly again, just select option "a" and click "Next."

8. On this screen you can select a date from the calendar that you would like to try and restore from. So, if you knew that your computer worked fine two days ago, just pick that date on the calendar and click "Next." 9. The next screen is the confirmation window. Just verify the information on the screen and click "Next." Windows XP will then reboot and try to restore your system with the settings from the date you selected.

The System Restore process can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes depending on how much reconfiguration Windows XP needs to do and how fast of a PC you have. When System Restore is done, a screen will popup with the results of the restore. If it was successful, you can then log into the system and start using the computer again. Any quirky issues that you were having are now hopefully gone.

Now, on step 7b above, I mentioned the "Create a system restore point" option. This option is for when you want to force Windows XP to take a snapshot of your system just before you install a program or alter any system settings that you are not sure of. It is like a safety net for when you install any internet programs (sometimes riddled with spyware) or system drivers (video, audio, etc). If you want to revert back to a virgin state just create a restore point "before" installing any software. This way, if your machine starts acting weird, you can just restore your settings from the selected point.

XP home is designed for home users who do not need the more heavyweight corporate applications such as a web server but still require a scalable and reliable operating system. While Windows XP runs well out of the box, there are tricks that can be used to optimize your installation. There are great Windows XP tweaks that involve broadband settings, registry entries, and other under utilized components of WinXP.

While this first group of tips can not properly be considered Windows XP tweaks, they are so important that they should be included in any guide that discusses WinXP performance and efficiency. The single most important thing you can do to ensure to WinXP performance is to make sure that your computer is free from viruses, trojans, spyware, and other pieces of software that could serve to slow down or otherwise compromise the functioning of your WinXP computer. The first thing that you should do, particularly if you have an always on broadband connection, is to install a firewall. A firewall locks down the software entry points (called ports) that applications use interact with your computer. Ports are simply numbers that, when combined with your internet protocol (IP) address, specify a single channel of network communication. Some ports should usually be open, such as port 80 which allows web HTTP communication to occur, but others should be locked unless they are needed by a legitimate program. By default, the entire range of ports is open to the world on a WinXP machine. A firewall blocks all unused ports and lets the WinXP user decide which ports to open. 4) Once you are done re-boot the machine. 5) When the Desktop returns you will be presented with a window that says you have chosen Selective Startup. Just Check "Do not show this window again" and click OK.

3) At the prompt type expand followed by the full pathname of the file and destination (expand D:Windowsfilename.ex_ C:Windowsfilename.exe) where D: is the letter of your disc drive. If either pathname contains spaces surround the entire pathname with double quotes. To speed up the response time, you should monthly run Disk Defragmenter, a Windows utility that defrags and consolidates fragmented files for quicker computer response.

* Follow Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter
* Click the drives you want to defrag and click Analyze
* Click Defragment

2. Detect and Repair Disk Errors

Over time, your hard disk develops bad sectors. Bad sectors slow down hard disk performance and sometimes make data writing difficult or even impossible. While this is good for systems with smaller amounts of memory (under 512MB) it is unlikely that a typical XP desktop system will ever need 1.5 X 512MB or more of virtual memory. If you have less than 512MB of memory, leave the page file at its default size. If you have 512MB or more, change the ratio to 1:1 page file size to physical memory size.

Fonts, especially TrueType fonts, use quite a bit of system resources. For optimal performance, trim your fonts down to just those that you need to use on a daily basis and fonts that applications may require.

* Open Control Panel
* Open Fonts folder

Sesuai dengan prinsip ekonomi yang kita inginkan adalah bagaimana mendapatkan barang yang bagus dengan pengorbanan yang seringan-ringannya, sama halnya dengan masalah komputer kita. Kita juga pengen kalu komputer yang kita miliki dapat berkerja dengan cepat (kayak pentium IV, Dual Core dsb), padahal komputer yang kita punya hanya standar pentium III contohnya (hehe...komputerku pentium III coy). Di sini saya akan berbagi pengalaman saya bagaimana komputer pentium III saya dapat bekerja dengan cepatkayak pentium IV. Ada beberapa tips biar kerja komputer/ windows xp jadi lebih cepat:
1.Kebersihan CPU
Sering saya temukan pada banyak orang, dia hanya sebagai pemakai kompter saja, kondisi kebersihan CPU bagian dalam tidak pernah diperhatikan sehingga sangat kotor sekali. Ini dapat mempengaruhi kinerja komputer kita. Maka dari itu harus rutin dibersihkan. Kalau saya tiap sebulan sakali saya bersihkan dengan kuas cat yang kecil dan lembut.
2.Pendingin
CPU agar kinerjanya maksimal maka kondisinya haruslah tetap dingin. Dalam CPU minimal ada 3 kipas yang dipasang, 1 pada power suplay, 1 di prosesor dan 1 lagi sebagai tambahan biasanya di pasang di Casingnya. Pendingin ini lebih banyak lebih baik kalau casingnya memadahi.
3.Pada insall-an windows XP sebenarnya banyak hal-hal yang tidak kita perlukan sehingga hanya memperbesar kapasitas di drive C saja yang berpengaruh pada kecepatan kinerja windows XP kita. Maka saya sarankan hapus saja yang gak perlu tersebut, contohnya themes, cursor, fons, skin winnam (bila ada winamnya) dan tinggalkan salah satu yang ingin dipakai. Semakin kecil drive C yang terpake semakin cepat kinerjanya.
4.Install program yang diperlukan saja
Pada office aktifkan ms word, ms exel, dan ms power poin saja, anti virus pake yang ringan saja.
5.Lakukan defrag secara rutin
Tujuannya adalah menyusun kembali file-file yang berantakan pada sistem windows. Bila file-filenya tersusun rapi maka windows dapat bekerja dengan baik. Sofware defrag dapat di download secara gratis (cari aja lewat google search).
6.Recycle bin
Pastikan recycle bin selalu kosong
7.Disk cleanup
Lakukan disk cleanup pada setiap drive agar file-file yang gak kepake dapat terbuang. Caranya klik kanan pada drive yang dipilih, propertis terus disk cleanup, lalu conteng file yang gak perlu dan klik OK.

Klik menu start > Run dan ketikkan “gpedit.msc” lalu klik OK

Setelah itu masuk kebagian user configuration > administrative templates > control panel > display.

Kemudian klik dua kali pada prevent chaging walpaper, setelah itu pilih enable dan klik OK.

Sekarang walpaper komputermu gak bisa diganti-ganti oleh orang lain.

Sangat banyak jenis virus yang dapat menyerang komputer kita. Dan gak menutup kemungkinan komputer kita sudah dimasukin virus tersebut. Maka dari itu komputer kita perlu kita selamatkan dari virus perusak itu, caranya adalah:

1.Update dan scan
Pertama yang harus dilakukan bila kita yakin komputer kita sudah terserang virus adalah segeralah mengupdate antivirus yang sudah terinstall di komputer kita. File update dapat di download di internet sesuai antivirus yang kita miliki, atau bisa saja meng-copi dari temen kita. Setelah antivirus kita sudah sukses terupdate kemudian lakukan scanimg pada komputer kita secara total (scan my computer)

2.Gunakan System Restore
Bila system restore pada komputer kita aktif maka kita dapat memanfaatkannya tuk memperbaiki komputer kita. Caranya adalah klik star, all program, accessories, system tool, system restore.
Lalu klik next
Kemudian pilih tanggal dimana komputer kita masih dalam keadaan baik, biasanya tanggalnya tebal. Kemudian klik next dan tinggal tunggu pproses berikutnya. Komputer akan merestar dan kembali dalam kondisi semula sebelum terserang virus.

3.Format hardisk
Bila semua usaha sudah dicoba dan gak juga bisa mengusir virusdari komputer kita maka jalan terakhir adalah memformat hardisk atau menginstall ulang windows kita. Yang pastinya file-file penting sudah kita selamatkan terlebih dahulu pada medium lain. Dan kalau sudah selesai penginstallan maka file-file kita dapat di copi kembali.
